Welcome to the Cherry Point Rugby Football Club Homepage. We are a military Rugby club that is based on Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina. Our members are mostly Marines stationed at MCAS Cherry Point and we have a few visiting civilians from time to time who are for the most part former Marines that played with us while serving in the USMC. We are members of the North Carolina LAU, Rugby South, USA Rugby. We are also members of the United States Military Rugby Program.

Currently our competition pitch is located on-station at MCAS Cherry Point directly behind the McDonald's. We share it with the units stationed here and with the somewhat disfunctional soccer team. We did, up until about a month ago, have grass on our pitch. This is not a good thing. I'm sure anyone associated with the sport has played in something similar to a sand box before. We have our personal version of it here now.

This page is currently under construction, although most of the ground work is done I also need to get the rest of the pix sorted, so don't flex any attitudes yet. We are working on rebuilding our side(again). You would think that Marines would want to play a sport so closely related to hand to hand combat...I know differently.

If your club is touring and are in the area (East Coast North Carolina) and would like to get a match in, please feel free to notify our Match Secretary. Although our Spring schedule is proving to be a pain in the ass, we would love to entertain all chances for fresh matches. Thanks for showing up and I hope you enjoy this site....
